FAQs
What safety standards should I look for when buying a helmet?
When buying a helmet, ensure that you are purchasing a reliable and protective product. Here are some of the key safety standards to consider: DOT (Department of Transportation) ECE (Economic Commission for Europe) ISI (Indian Standards Institute). These certifications ensure that the helmet has been tested and approved for providing a certain level of protection.
How do I choose the correct size helmet?
Measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and compare it to the helmet size guide on the product page. The helmet should fit snugly but not painfully tight, as padding will compress slightly over time. A properly fitted helmet should not shift when you shake your head. Please refer to the size chart for the exact measurements.
What is the purpose of a motorcycle helmet?
A motorcycle helmet is designed to protect your head during a collision by absorbing impact energy, thereby reducing the risk of serious injury or fatality. Wearing a helmet that meets legal safety standards is mandatory for all riders and passengers. Beyond legal requirements, helmets shield you from debris, weather elements, and wind, enhancing your overall riding experience.
Are all motorcycle helmets the same?
No, helmets vary significantly in design, materials, features, and intended use. The main types include:Full-Face Helmets: Offer maximum protection, covering the entire head and face. Flip Helmets: Combine the safety of full-face helmets with the convenience of an open-face design. Open-Face Helmets: Provide less coverage but greater ventilation and a wider field of vision. Motocross Helmets: Tailored for off-road riding, with peak visors and increased ventilation.
How should I clean and maintain my helmet?
Use a mild soap and water solution for cleaning the outer shell and visor. Remove and hand-wash the interior padding if possible and rinse thoroughly, and air dry completely before reattaching them to the helmet. Avoid harsh chemicals, as they can damage the materials and reduce the helmet's durability over time.
How should I store my helmet?
Store your helmet from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag or cover to protect it from dust and scratches when not in use. Avoid placing it on hard surfaces where it could accidentally fall.
Are your helmets lightweight and comfortable for long-duration wear?
Yes, our riding helmets are designed to be lightweight and comfortable for long-duration use. Helmet manufacturers use lightweight materials such as polycarbonate, fiberglass, carbon fibre, and other advanced composites to construct the outer shell. These materials offer a high strength-to-weight ratio, providing adequate protection while keeping the helmet lightweight.
What kind of retention system do helmets have?
Depending on the model, helmets feature Micrometric, Double D-ring, or DD-ring closure systems for a secure and comfortable fit. Please check the product details for more information on the retention system.
